hello life...it was nice to know you!

School starts....TOMORROW. BLAH! Although I love my majors....they are quite a bit of work and I do not have one easy class this semester so things are going to get a little crazy! I can already see the sleepless nights, and hazed vision.
I do have some exciting news....my photography has started to kick off!! I did a session of senior pictures which i will be posting later this week! I am so excited to show them to yall and get your opinions! Also, I will be doing one of my best friends maternity pictures this fall!! I can hardly wait! It is going to be so much fun! I did my brothers senior pictures, but I also did my cousin's who lives in WY. She took a road trip with her mom in search of some different style pictures and they have both told me they are exactly what they were wanting (which of course put a smile on my face from ear to ear!) I sent them the only copy of my CD of them so they sent it back to me last week for me to put them on my laptop and ALSO...my WEBSITE!! yes...you heard correctly....I am having a website designed by none other than the fabulous, ever so talented, Brittany Miller :)
I am really racking my brains for a good name for my photography....by the way....and it isn't going so well. I would like something that has double S's like "Summer's Snapshots" or Brittany suggested "Summer Time Photography." ANY SUGGESTIONS?!


Well I am going to be doing a blog either tonight or tomorrow with a must-have list for fall clothes. I have really been on the hunt for the perfect pieces because it's time for back-to-school shopping! This fall is all about being cozy, ladylike, and randomly thrown together for a fabulous outcome! Hey, I can do that!! :)

hello! i'm officially hitting the "restart" button on this whole blog experience! Long story short...it turns out being a full time mommy and college student, keeping a clean house, laundry and a to-do list that as soon as i mark one thing off i'm writing another one down....makes being a regular blogger a little difficult.
HOWEVER i forgot how therapeutic blogging can be!
So a quick re-cap:
Jordan and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary June 27, and had a one year wedding recpetion on July 31! It turned out wonderful :) it was hot outside....but here are a few pics from the event:

and this was just funny...Daniel and Destiny just had their first baby boy Dyson a few months ago, Greg and Meghan just found out she is pregnant!! (about 10weeks, and Me and Jordan have our little Angel Greenlee :)

somehow...all the "parents" wore blue! and this was not even planned!!

this was the cake, I was not that happy with it! The pirate flag was supposed to be a lot bigger, and the words aren't centered correctly! It was supposed to say "Yes, I am a Pirate" on the top and then read "200 years too late.." on the bottom. But i guess everyone else was happy with it because there wasn't a crumb left! :) It's cute i was just expecting it to look more professional! :)

So overall the reception was a hit and we all had a great time!

Now the last time yall saw Greenlee she was a lot smaller! I know this phrase is WAYYYYY over used but they grow up so fast!! Look at my angel now!!

btw...those leggings are from Baby Gap, they have the cutest legging for babies that i have been able to find this season by far! And they are comfortable for her! I love them!

She has learned to sit up on her own and this was our first Wal-Mart trip that she ever rode sitting up by herself! Don't worry I sanitized that thing for about 30 minutes before I ever put her in it!! (I have got to get one of those covers so even though she loved this, she hasn't been able to do it since because I don't want her in cart without a cover again! It just stressed me out way to much last time!

But she was enjoying herself!

I love this! This was at her 6month appointment and the doctor said she is as healthy as she can be!

She will be 8 months old tomorrow!! I can't believe it! In a few short months my baby will be a year old!

But I have big plans for her first birthday party so stay tuned! :)

THE BIG NEWS I CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE:

I will graduate from college with a double major in Public Relations and Speech Communications in a year!! I am SO excited!!! This next year won't fall short of its own new challanges and adventures but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am so ready to graduate and start on my career!!

ok so being a new mom...you gotta find ways to cut cost...and not cuteness!! two of my friends are having little boys one is due April 8th...(right around the corner!!) and his name is Dyson...the other is due towards the end of June....and his name is Kipton! I was wanting to get functional things for their baby shower gifts...so i got my favorite diapers! Huggies Pure & Natural (all organic diapers) yes...they fit my go green efforts as well as my beautiful little girl! and the best part is they are literally the softest diapers i have found, so she is a lot more comfortable in them!

OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT THE FUNNY...

so my cat Prada lives in our garage and we keep the bottom opened a little for her to come and go,

well i walked out there to see her and i heard some rumbling behind one of the boxes...assuming it was her i walked over there to see her...it wasn't Prada. it wasn't Prada at ALL. it was A POSSUM!!!

i quickly called the hubby (after i ran inside scared out of my mind) to tell him and see what i should do!

he informed me to not get close to it...they attack and can have rabies!

YIKES!

well being the dedicated blogger that I am...i took a picture from clear on the other side of the garage...

Pierced and Prissy! :)

so we got Lil Miss Thang's ears pierced today! She was so good! They wanted me to sit in the chair and hold her why they did it...i tried. and failed. miserably. my mom went with us and i was literally so nervous for Greenlee i thought i was going to get sick so we had to trade places! but *sigh of relief* it went wonderful! She was a dream...she cried a little bit (but being the mommy's girl she is) once she had her mommy she was fine! She is fast asleep after a warm bath and a little rice cereal!
We also got her easter dress today...which is adorable! I can't wait to post pictures of her in it...with her new bow...and her sandels to show off her adorable pink toes! :) We are going to the beach this summer with my family (ROAD TRIP! YAY!!) and so we got her a few big floppy hats...sun protection can never start too early!! We also got her a few cute beach outfits...including this pink polo dress that is going to be beautiful on her!
Anyways...so this is a short post but i got a lot to do tonight! Greenlee is going to be staying the night with her Glam tomorrow so I need to have everything ready!! (which means...GIRLS NIGHT FOR ME!) heck yes...that's a win-win!

in honor of this wonderful holiday...yes i consider it a holiday! i decided to take a walk down memory lane of great springs breaks of the past! i realize that not everyone gets a spring break anymore...you've graduate, you have a "real" job, and your busy!! well even though you may not get a spring break, be sure to take little breaks for yourself! if you can take a trip...take a girls night! now onto spring break memories!!
SPRING BREAK 2006
Paradise Island...the Bahamas baby!! We stayed at the breath-taking Atlantis! and i even got to swim with dolphins! it was amazing! there was sea life EVERYWHERE! the most beautiful place i have ever been too.

SPRING BREAK 07

this year my family and I stayed at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores Alabama! We go there every year!! It is a geat place to stay, the condos are amazing!!

SPRING BREAK 08

ok so i went to the beach with my fam again...we stayed at the Beach Club, this year i had a male visitor...who will remain nameless...it was fun. but let me just say, I am so glad I married Jordan! haha but hey, you gotta meet some wrong ones before you meet the right one right?! I came back from the beach a few days early to go to Eureka Springs with my bestie Kelli and we had a ball too! it was a long weekend of great artwork, coffee and girl time at it's best!

SPRING BREAK 09

this past spring break fell on Jordan's 22nd birthday...so we went to some cabins in a small town in AR for the weekend! We had so much fun!! We went fishing, we danced, we grilled out...it was a great way to spend the weekend....he had to work the next week so we could only go for the weekend, but still it was a great time!

SPRING BREAK 10

this spring break we are taking it easy. we have a wonderful new addition...my little Greenlee girl!! but we did have a bonfire last friday for Jordan's 23rd birthday!

crazy how much things can change in a year!!

springing up the house. PART I.

i.love.spring.
so i decided to take on a new spring project and start decorating my house accordingly.
Jordan and I love greens and natural, tranquil looks....so here is what i started with!!
most of the things i have gotten so far have come from the new Wal-Mart Home Trends line.
they really have some great stuff!! but i still have to hit up my two favs: Target! and Hobby Lobby!!
so here's the beginings of a beautiful change...

white and green throw pillows! i loved these!! :) i got two, because i plan on finding some other ones i like too! they were $13 which really isn't bad for decorative throw pillows!!

i love simple flower arrangements...and all the pre-made ones were a little too much for me, so i decided to try my hand at a springy flower arrangement. here's a close up of the flowers!

i know it is very simple, but i like simple! and we are a green family! i mean...we even named our daughter Greenlee :) so this works for us. but there are a TON of different types of flowers you could use to make your perfect arrangement! give it a shot! it can brighten up your whole day! this was probably the most expensive thing i bought all day...but any flower arrangement (or big ones like this) are gonna be a little pricy...even if you make them yourself! so the vase was $10, the rocks were $10, the white roses were $5 each...which 4 roses on each piece (i got three), the green fuzzy balls were $5 (i got two) and they each have 3 balls on a stick..and the finally addition...the green blubs..i just got one for an accent piece...but it was again $5. so in total, i spent somewhere around $55 for the whole thing :)

i love tis rug for the kitchen! and i got it at a steal for $11!! again...Wal-Mart Home Trends :)

ok these rugs are awesome! they are made from all organic fibers so the are earth friendly! always a plus!! i needed two for the front and back doors so these are the 2 i chose! i love them!!

and last but not least...a calming centerpiece! not to mention...i got them on sale for $9!

i loved this..again simple but stunning! i am a product of the simple elegance generation so these changes work perfect for me...but there are all types of styles out there...and i am sure they will have something to fit just about anybodys needs..lol or wants!! did i mention i only spent $10 on this whole arrangement?! amazing!!

this is a beautiful adventure. the most important realtionship is the one you have with yourself, because it will impact every relationship ever to come.

right now, i am having a love affiar with red wine, dark chocolate, and a laptop.

i just want you to know there are all kinds of love out there. we all desire love and to be loved from the deepest depths of our inner beings. our souls longs for love like our lungs long for oxygen.
